Joining our database is open to anyone with an interest, and that has used or are currently using mental health services in Bedfordshire and Luton, or has suffered periods of mental distress.
As a member you will be added to our database and will receive our quarterly newsletter and frequent bulletins informing you of our activities. We actively encourage comments and suggestions from our members - the opinions and feelings of service users help us to shape our strategy and decide the direction in which we work. Throughout the year we will regularly canvas our membership for their opinions on a variety of issues in order to stay up to date with service user opinions.
In addition, service providers frequently ask us to offer a service user perspective on various matters and as a result the larger our consultation group is, the wider the range of views will be. In order to speak to as many services users as possible, we plan to have forums throughout the year as well as contacting people individually. We will also alert members to various events happening throughout the county where they can voice their opinions and/or represent other service users.
