Workplace Mental Health Training Courses

Mental Health Training Courses & Services For Companies & Organisations

Our training courses can significantly help those at risk of developing mental health issues in the workplace, in both the public and private sectors.

Impact’s mental health courses, training and support services are aimed at:

  • Central & Local Government
  • Companies, Organisations and Corporate Employees
  • Department of Work and Pensions
  • Ministry Of Defence
  • Police and Emergency Services
  • Security Services
  • Prison Service
  • Health Workers
  • etc.

We provide sustainable solutions for employees’ mental health and wellbeing, using a similar model to the YOU Programme for those with existing mental health issues, to help maintain sound mental health and to spot possible issues at the earliest opportunity for employees’ at high risk of developing mental health issues owing to the nature of their work.

The government has highlighted health and well-being at work to be a key priority to improve the mental and physical health of the nation.

Employers already have legal duties under the Equality Act 2010, to support employees with Mental or Physical disabilities and to make adjustments to enable these employees to continue being employed.

We know that mental health challenges in the workplace are becoming more and more common and many organisations have no choice but to subject their workforce to conditions of extreme mental distress by the nature of their business.

Often, there are also external factors such as home life, family, financial, and relationship issues; however, these can have a negative impact on the work environment, causing high absenteeism and low productivity as a result.

Promoting positive health in the workplace benefits everyone.

Using our experience of mental ill health and the knowledge we have of the demands and pressures faced by many in the workplace, we are offering our expertise to employers as part of their employee health & wellbeing policy and strategy.

Social Impact

A Social Enterprise has the capability of delivering services to commercial customers at rates that will allow delivery of services to Local Authorities, the NHS and charities and social enterprises at substantially subsidised rates.

Our Social Purpose is to educate and empower those with Mental Health Issues to establish, manage and participate in their own Peer Support Network.

Our Social Impact means that all individuals who are currently experiencing or who are at risk of developing Mental Health Issues benefit from our Peer Support Network Services. This is evidenced by empirically measuring our social impact using pre & post course questionnaires.

What our customers say…

Mental Health Peer Support

A well-structured course, delivered in a professional but relaxed manner by a team of very capable trainers. A good level of communication maintained throughout. Potentially, the course could be extended. I plan to recommend the training to other military personnel.

Mental Health Peer Support

We were delighted to have Impact join us again at our staff conference this year.  Carol and Deanne held lively and open discussions about mental health and shared their personal experiences.  The discussions around peer support helped staff recognise potential mental distress in themselves and in others.  All three sessions were fully booked and received very positive feedback from staff from across all areas of the college.   We look forward to working with Impact again.

Mental Health Peer Support

I must write to say a huge “thank you” for the ‘learning’ your team have provided during the past 3 weeks. We were quietly elated from the inception of Deanne’s attending the All Staff meeting here at the CCG and providing us all with a breath of fresh air in her approach to dealing with Mental Health matters. Her open, frank and honest discussion was greatly appreciated, as was her raising awareness of the many facets of mental health and the stigma that is “still” attached to it.
