Impact Pop-Ins
For You | For Your Support | For Local Communities
Come along and meet the Impact Peers at venues throughout Bedfordshire for one of our two-hour Pop-Ins, and share in a slice of cake or two…
As always, the Pop-Ins are a fantastic opportunity to continue your wellbeing-learning journey with Intentional Peer Support, friends, discussion groups and listening to our guest speakers!
If you would like to know more about our programmes or you have already attended a programme, why not come along for a cuppa and a slice of cake.
What are Pop-Ins?
The Pop-in is a two-hour, fortnightly get-together created by Impact as part of the YOU Programme or Your Recovery Pathways Programme, to support people experiencing mild to moderate anxiety or depression and enable likeminded people to build community peer networks in their area.
The Pop-Ins are also a great opportunity for people interested in attending one of our programmes to meet the team and find our more before enrolling onto their chosen programme.
Impact continue to apply the Impact Intentional Peer Support model throughout each Pop-In in ways that encourage and provide opportunities for peers to continue learning about how to manage their mental wellbeing.
Who is it for?
The Pop-in is for people who have attended an Impact programme or for those interested in finding our more about our programmes. It is a way in which peers can keep in contact should they wish to build friendships with other peers and an opportunity to continue receiving intentional peer support and often offering peer support to others.
What to expect?
The two hour, fortnightly sessions can help many people who find it difficult to go out or socialise in places where they feel less comfortable. It is also a great place to make friends from other programmes, enabling people to grow their own social networks and be a part of an Intentional Peer Support community network.
Guest speakers are frequently invited to talk about subjects that may be on benefit to you, such as housing, benefits, medication, health, employment and further education. Additionally, we aim to provide a mix of artistic and creative activities to support and inspire our peers to continue with their self-development.
In each Pop-In area, you will be introduced to the Local Pop-In team. The team is made up of Impact volunteers who have attended one or both of our programmes and now volunteer to coordinate their local Pop-Ins and ensure your experience each time is an empowering and supportive one.
Impact staff may pop-in from time to time as and when available. However, it is important to us that our mission, to educate and enable independence, education and empowerment continues throughout all of our services, and peers do not become dependent on our team or services as this can be seen as disempowering to your recovery journey.
When are they?
Pop-Ins are held in Bedfordshire in a variety of venues and on different days and times. Our volunteers and staff do their best to inform people when Pop-ins are happening in their area, this can be done through phone calls, text messaging, emails and posts on our FaceBook page, Twitter account and on our website calendar. So, if you’re not already following us, feel free to do so, or sign up to our newsletter, and we’ll keep you posted of all new dates as we add them.

Do I need to register??
While it’s useful for us to know who is coming, and how many people we’ll need to cater for, it’s not absolutely essential to register, feel free to just pop in.
Hope to see you there!
