At Impact, we do our best to provide courses to all those who want to learn how to manage their thoughts, emotions and overall well being.
We know it can be tough with other commitments and responsibilities, work or otherwise.
That’s why we are working hard to create self-study courses that enable people to gain new knowledge, learn in a measured way and still receive guidance and support from the team.
If you or someone you know is finding it difficult to commit to being live online with us and would benefit from self-study, please get in contact with one of the team to discuss your chosen course and how we can help.

We held our very first evening course, Mind Time in June of this year and our second in July before working through the summer weeks crunching data to see if our evening wellbeing course would have an impact!
And what an impact it had and continues to have for all those people too busy in the daytime but wanted to access support for their mental wellbeing.
It goes without saying that the team and I love what we do and especially when our course analysis informs us of the well-being improvements and joy that so many take from attending our courses.
And when people turn up to spend three hours with us for each of the four evenings, often after working long and stressful days, we are utterly humbled and grateful to share everything we know and have with them.
Tears, laughter, frustrations, more tears and more laughter, along with new knowledge, new understanding and a whole heap of self-compassion.
That pretty much sums-up what we have witnessed from the amazing ladies we have had the fortune and pleasure to work with on just two Unlock Menopause courses.
The first ran for just four daytime sessions. Until the feedback came in!
Unanimously, we were told ‘it has to be longer’!
Our second course delivered in November and December was six sessions long – and WOW!
This course tackles all of the familiar subjects associated with perimenopause and menopause, along with open, honest and heartfelt discussions of the wider social, emotional, physical and psychological impact of what could be seen as a transformational change.
If you’re a woman and curious about this natural stage in your life, or you are experiencing perimenopausal or menopausal symptoms, why not get in touch to discuss how this course could help you, or register for our next course below…
These two strengths-based courses are the beating heart of what we do and just like Impact, they have changed and improved, to reflect and share new science, therapies, support and wellbeing strategies, along with a wealth of personal and professional experiences from our delivery teams.
The YOU Programme is a fantastic introduction to begin thinking in a different way about mental wellbeing, as well as beginning the exciting journey of enablement, empowerment and change.
Step it up a gear and join us on the YOUR Recovery Pathways for an amazing journey into exploring every aspect of what it means to be well and to better manage our thoughts and emotions.

Although this year has been filled with hardship for many of us, I am reminded every day by those we teach and support of the importance of hope, and belief that change can happen to improve our health, our happiness and our hope.
In every one of our free educational wellbeing courses, we have met people who have struggled.
People who continue to struggle with the deep cost of living, political instability, lifestyle uncertainty and traumatic global events.
Yet, these very people found the courage and self-commitment to seek enablement, education and empowerment with Impact, to help themselves, their future and their mental health.
Every year my team and I are grateful to have met so many inspiring and courageous people.
People just like you and I, trying to manage the overload of world events and keep ourselves healthy, happy and hopeful.
So, this time of year allows us to look back – but not for too long – because it also encourages us to think forward.
We ask ourselves what we would like to do in the coming year, what we hope for and how we might work towards happy and healthy changes.
For 2022, I offer my heartfelt gratitude and thanks to each and every person who has shared their struggles and hope with us on our courses. We are grateful for your feedback, for your suggestions to enhance our newest courses, and for allowing us to be there for you.
We are all hugely grateful to Central Bedfordshire Council for their continued support and belief, despite undergoing their own changes this year.
In particular, we offer a special thank you to Christine Knox, Employment and Skills Academy – Programme Manager at CBC for her unstinting support and clarity on many, many occasions.
To the many, many Professional Supporters of Impact who know our value to their clients and customers and continue to refer people to our organisation, thank you.
To those that work for and with us, Dave Masterton – TaxAssist, Phil Evans – Rubber Duck Digital, who ensure we operate and deliver to the very best of our abilities and who have taken the time to understand our beliefs and values, thank you.
To our Advisory Board, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for providing us with a solid foundation from which to govern and for your expertise, patience and guidance as we have navigated our way through change.
To the Impact team, your compassion and commitment is second-to-none. Every change has been embraced positively, every challenge met with determination. Thank you.
For 2023, Jackie Bean, Director, and I, pledge to continue our commitment, passion and hard work in ensuring Impact is here for all those who need us and want to travel the wellbeing journey with us. We can’t wait to meet you!

The Impact team have made the decision to reduce the number of FGF sessions from each Friday to once a month, and where possible, held on the last Friday of each month.
This decision has enabled us to consider and begin planning more purposeful and impactful ways in which we can continue to support and inform learners in a more structured way.
We will be in touch with you soon, once we have finalised our plans.
We know that some of you will feel a little sad about this news, particularly as these sessions played such an important part in staying socially connected for many of us through the nation’s lockdowns in 2020 and 2021.
As with many changes in our lives, it can feel uncomfortable in the beginning but that doesn’t mean those feelings will stay. Because they won’t!
Each change is a turning page.
It is about closing one chapter and opening another one.
Changes bring new beginnings and excitement to life.

I can’t quite believe this coming Friday 29th July is our last Feel Good Friday session before the Summer break.
Why not drop by when you get a moment to catch up and tell us how you’re doing, or simply pop in, kick back with a coffee and listen to what’s going on with other people.
There will be the usual discussions about our pesky Chimps bothering our thoughts and emotions! Plus, a few tips and tricks about how to get through August and come out the other side like a ‘boss’!
We may even have a quiz up our sleeves for the last session, who knows!
If you haven’t ventured into Impact on a Friday before, here’s the link to register on Zoom
If you’ve already registered and have lost the link, let us know and we’ll resend the link.
We start at 10.30 and tend to wrap up around 12/12.30. You can arrive any time before 11.45 and stay for 5 mins or the whole session, entirely up to you :-)
Feel Good Friday will resume on Friday 9th September 2022
If you can’t make this Friday, why not catch up on some fantastic articles on our news page Impact News & Blog
Hope to see many of you for our last day before a well-earned break for the Impact team!
